Last Day of my 60 days Insanity Challenge
Hi Yall,
Sorry about the poor picture quality......SO SEE YOU NEXT WEEK...
So yesterday Monday 28th of October 2012 marked the final day of my insanity challenge. Yes i did follow through for the majority of it. Of course there were many challenges, but I was determine to stick with it and complete the full 60 days. If you were following my blog you would realised that I took a week off which was neccessary for me to prepare for an exam (life) but I jumped right back in. So today I am showing you my before and after photos...I have not weighed myself to see how much weight I've lost and to me thats not really important. However, I have seen significant changes in my body and I feel so much better.
Let me know what you think. Please also bear is mind this is not the end for me. I am starting Round 2 on Monday November 5th. I hope that I have been an ispiration to some..and would like to encourage you to live a healty lifestyle..I am not perfect but I am trying for the save of my daughter because I want to be around for a loooong time to see her grow into an amaxing woman...so here goes....

Day 50-56 Insanity Challenge
So....I was suppose to do my 4th fit test today...but change of plans. I'm actually gonna take this week off.
I have some studying to do in preparation for my certification assessment.
So I wanted to use this week to get in more study time. My Class is at 9pm - 1 am. And I am usually home from work at 6:30....so i did my workouts from 7 to 8. Gave London her dinner by 8....bath and bedtime before nine (start of my class).
So Im gonna use that window 7-9 to get in some extra course work and study time. My finals is on Friday(Day 54). Wish me God's speed.
So on Monday Day 57 im gonna jump right back into my routine do my last fit test on day 60 and update you with my before and after photo
Thar will be end of my First cycle and then I start alll over again.

Still doing my daily exerises. Sunday was my rest day...I didn't get to do any exercise yesterday day 43...I went out for the day (holiday---thanksgiving) when I got home I was soooo tired that I crashed...
Just completed day 44 Max Interval circuit.
I can wait for my first 60 days...to start doing this all over...again.

Day 36 -Insanity Challege - Fit test
Back to regular programming.
Recovery week is over and today I did my 3rd fit test
October 1st Fit Test

Overall a massive improvement... At my next test I have to improve on my Suicide Jumps and Push up jacks -- they were the hardest.
I also had to do Max interval circuit today...OMG a whole hour...but I didnt make it I did like 15 minutes...I was soooo drained after putting all my energy into the fit test....but I pushed myself to the limit....Tomorrow will be better.

Day 29-35 - Insanity Challege
Today was the start of my recovery week. So for this entire week I will be in recovery (yeah right...thats what they call it hmm)
I did it today it wasn"t bad at all.
For my recovery week Mon-Sat I will be doing Core Cardio and Balance and then rest on Sunday.
My next fit test is on next Monday Day 36. So be sure to check back and see how I did.

Day-19 -23 - Insanity Challenge
DID YOU MISS ME??
I have not given up..I have been doing my exercises daily....Technical issues plus tiredness have prevented me from updated my blog recently. I have a few injuries...My knees ache sooo I have toned down a bit on the jumping.
The exercise programe is just as intense at day 23 as it is at Day one...but hear this I a doing the exercises with fewer breaks. I can't wait for my fitness test thats coming up in the next week and a half.
I am doing this update at work (during my break... yes let me put in this disclaimer...lol)...so I cannot directly post it to FACEBOOK..yeah I have restrictions at work with all social media...hheheh. When I get home I'll post it to my face book page
And guess what I lost 5 lbs in 2 weeks....isn't that amazing...I am sooo excited... I have really began to see the changes in my body. So lets do the maths....this program is 8 weeks and if I continue to lose 5 lbs every 2 weeks that 20 lbs .....whaaaaaaaa excitement excitement........ and then a further 8 weeks 20 more lbs then another 8 weeks 20 more lbs...and then I am even closer to my GOAL.
I CAN DO IT....YES I CAN......
Thank you for those who have been encouraging me along the way, it has been an arduous journey...but I am committed to this challenge.

Day 18-Insanity Challenge
Today I did absolutely nothing. This is the second day in the row that my body refused to cooperate with my nind. In my mind I knew that I should continue but my body was telling me a different story. I felt drained, in pain, and exhausted. My knees hurt, the soles of my feet are crying out for help. So I decided to listen to my body and take a break.
And you know what I feel so much better today. Changing your lifestyle is definitely a challenge and I have realise that simply adhereing to the status quo does not always work..you may have to deviate from your plan a little bit as long as you stay true and committed to your untimate goal.
For those who are doing the challenge as well...stick with it. If you can go thorough the entire 60 days as plan..koodoos to you. Consider it a remarkable achievement.
As for me I will fall back into my routine today and continue. Today I pick up on day 19th...yeahhhh.

Day-16 and 17 - Insanity Challenge
Well i have not forgotton you.
But here what...funny story.
I had to create and email account with I create this blog...so from the time I stared to post I would enter the blogspot through facebook...click the link then it would take me directly to the blog and i just created a new post. But for some reason yesterday it asked me to log in and for the life of me...I couldn't remember the email address. lol.. I tried all possible things but it just wasn't coming to me.
Anyway I decided to contact gmail support to day to find out if they can help me. They told me yes and the technician ask me if I would allow him to view my computer...me being naive and without thinking twice i told his yes so he proceeded to enter my computer....i thought he was gonna help me but then he proceeded to run some test and then a message showed up saying that spyware and virus was found infecting up to 65% of my files and order for him tohelp me retrive my email addres there would be a charge related to get rid of the virus....WTH...but during the process, he moved the mouse over an icon which reveal my email address...and then it came back to me what it was..So which means he knew what my email address was but was trying to swindle money out of meee....I hope I dont regret giving him access to my comp...I am paranoid about that
Well yesterday was Day 16 and I did the Plyometric Cardio Circuit....i honestly felt very drained and just went through the motion.

FIT TEST
Comparing my fit test from two weeks ago...there has definitely been some improvement. I got the same score fo the Power Knees and Power Jumps....I think its because it's very difficult for me with this weight to do the jumps.
I'll definitely aim for more reps at my next fit test in two weeks.
So how do you think I did... Let me know, post your comments.
Tomorrow it starts all over....wow am I excited (sarcastically) LOL

Day 12 and 13 -Insanity Challege
Ok so yesterday I was suppose to do the Cardio Power and Resistance but had a bit of technical difficulties...for some reason the video was not streaming....trust meIi tried everthing but it didnt work so I gave...up. But secretly I was GLAD....lol because I was sooooooooo tired. I was so glad for the break. hehehehehhe...Dont judge me ok....lol
And
I just finished Pure Cardio and I also had to do.Cardio Abs. Cardio was ok...getting stonger...but the abs segment? Oh my word it was a killer ....my abs were burning. There were two of the abs execises I could not do...it was brutal.
However given time...I will conquer.
Tomorrow is my rest day. However on Monday I do my 2nd fitness test.....I am eager to see how I do and if I would have made any improvements.
I have definitely lost some weight not a lot but I can feel the changes in my body. I'll reveal the before and after pics t the end of my 9 week challenge.... So keep reading.

Day 11-Insanity Challenge
Cardio Recovery
Well I welcomed the little break today from all the Cardio. It was indeed a recovery for me. The strerches in this routine allowed my muscles to get a good massage relieving all the built up tension.
It was a good work out.
Can"t wait for my rest day on Sunday.....aaaaah man...thats 2 days away..shucks

I did it....but my knees hurt, my back hurt, my foot hurts, all over my body is aching. And now I am about to go soak in some Epson Salts.

Day 9 -Insanity Challenge
PURE CARDIO....
Listen I really push myself today...at one point I found myself screaming through the pain, through the insanity.....lol
Does this even get any easier....I am able to leap a little higher..., dip a little lower, run a little faster, but my knees hurt....every inch of my body is aching but I refuse to give up. I am so motiviated that I did a couple reps of my own ab workout....ah tell yo...hehehe things happening man. Slowly but surely...

Day 6-Insanity Challenge
Yes on to day six -- Honestly today I felt a lil drained and didnt feel like exercising but I'm no quitter.
So today I did the Plyometric Cardio Circuit workout....by now I know the exercises so I no longer get lost between sets.
Listen peeps I was sooo good today I surprised myself...Imagine me doing push ups lol I only did four...but geez I couldn't even do one...so I am definitely seeing some progress in my strenght, agility and stamina. Go Natasha Go!!!!!
I am actually started to feel real energetic and even more confident. Yes, exercising does that to you.
Tomorrow is my rest day.....thank god....lol

Today I did Pure Cardio.....and thats exactly what it was..a series of cardio exercise designed to make you burn calories and build strenght.
I am doing much better...did a whole 20 mins before I took a break...now thats progress.
I am really looking forward to doing my 2nd fitness test. I am sure that I will make some improvements from my last score.
I must say I am beginning to feel much better....

So today I did the Cardio Recovery. Although it consisted mostly of stretches and working on my core and thighs. It was just as difficult.
And I think to myself...what a wonderful world....lol no thats not what I was thinking..
I was actually thinking...is this gonna get any better.

Day 3 - Insanity Challege
Yes...I have not quit.....
Just finished Cardio Power and Resistance and boy of boy....it doesn't get any easy.
However, I was able to go through the warm up without takng a break and progressed through the intervals ok...I wasn't going as fast as the guys in the video but I did my best to keep up despite aching all over from the day before.
Is this gonna get any easier.....lol that is the question. But I am going through this 60 days challenge.
Tomorrow its Cardio Recovery ---yeah right Cardio recovery my foot...lol I did a preview of the workout and nothing in it looks like a recovery to me....lol

Day 2 -Insanity Challenge
OMG
So I've just completed the Plyometrics Cardio Circuit workout.....I am drenched in sweat lol
I gotta tell ya I'm pretty out of shape. The workout is not hard to do....but for me who has not exercise is a while it was pretty intense.
The work out was about 40 miniutes long inclusive of the warm up and cool down. I had to rest a lot during the circuits causeIi felt like I was gonna pass out. But I think i did pretty ok.
The highlight of todays workout was when my 2 year old daughter looked and me when I was taking my breaks and said "c'mon mommy lets go"......lol not thats motivation.
I am eargerly anticipating the day when I can do the workout in its entirety.
Check back tomorrow to see how I did on the Power and resistance.

Day 1 - Insantity fitness test
ooooooohhhhhh weeeeee
So I've just completed the fitness test and boy oh boy did it kick my butt. It consisted of a warm up session then a series of 8 exercises. Each exercise was done for a minute and I had to do as many as I can within that minute.
I gotta tell ya...after the warm up I was beat...but i pushed through.
Here are my results

Power Jacks 30
had to pause the videos and take a 5 mins break which i'm not suppose to doo...lol

Had to take another break....felt like I about to pass out....lol

Low Plank oblique 9 after my first 9 I literally crashed and waited for the rest of the minute to go by.

So we will compare my result of the next fit test I do in 2 weeks and see if there is any improvement.

So I've just completed the fitness test and boy oh boy did it kick my butt. It consisted of a warm up session then a series of 8 exercises. Each exercise was done for a minute and I had to do as many as I can within that minute.
I gotta tell ya...after the warm up I was beat...but i pushed through.
Here are my results
Switch Kicks 90
Power Jacks 30
had to pause the videos and take a 5 mins break which i'm not suppose to doo...lol
Power knees 80
Power jumps 17
Globe Jumbs 6
Had to take another break....felt like I about to pass out....lol
Suicide jump 8
Push up jack 4 ( OMG this one was hard)
Low Plank oblique 9 after my first 9 I literally crashed and waited for the rest of the minute to go by.
THE WARM DOWN....THANK GOD....THIS WAS EASY......

The decision
So today marks the day that I made the decison to get into shape.....
This decision came solely on the basis that I am a single mom over thirty with a 2 year old daughter. And while I am very confident in my own skin...and beside the fact that I carry myself very well..its evitable that a person my age and weight is porn to all types of heart problems/diseases. I definitely wanna be around for a long time to see my daughter grow up to be an amazing woman so I am doing my part to ensure that I am healty and fit to stick around for a loooooooont time by the grace of God.
So I've save some videos of the insanity workout found on You Tube and Im gonna be attempting them from Monday...so wish me luck I'll keep you update as I progress on this insane Journey.
